The Division of Surgical Oncology adopts a wide approach to surgical measures for cancer. Procedures can range from radical surgery for advanced cancers and conservative techniques to minimal access surgery such as minimally invasive surgery. To complement its repertoire, the Division also offers reconstructive surgery.
NCIS is one of the few centres in Singapore and Asia to use Robotic Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) as a surgical option for colorectal cancer patients which allows for faster recovery of function, less post-operation pain and stress and shorter hospital stays, among other benefits.
