Having completed Basic Surgical Training in the West of Scotland, he was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow (MRCS) in 2006. He underwent and completed his Diagnostic Radiology specialty training in Singapore in 2013.
Dr Loh trained as an Interventional Radiologist in Singapore General Hospital and National University Hospital. In 2016 he completed a year-long fellowship in Interventional Radiology in Vancouver, Canada during which he focused on interventional oncology. Dr Loh also performed NUH’s first transradial chemoembolization of liver tumour in 2016 and established the transradial access service for Interventional Radiology in NUH. By utilizing the transradial technique, patients are afforded a safer and more comfortable procedure with a shorter hospitalization stay. His other areas of interest include transarterial embolization therapies, endovascular management of aortic and peripheral vascular disease and hemodialysis access related interventions.
