Biosketch

A/Prof Ng Siok Bian obtained her medical degrees from National University of Singapore and obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2002. She subsequently completed her specialty training in haematolymphoid pathology as a visiting fellow at National Cancer Institute / National Institute of Health, Bethesda, USA, under the supervision of Dr ES Jaffe. A/Prof Ng joined the department of Pathology, NUS in 2007. She is currently the research director of the department of Pathology in National University Health System (NUHS).

A/Prof Ng’s diagnostic expertise is in haematolymphoid pathology and molecular pathology. Her research focus is on lymphomas, in particular EBV-associated T/NK-cell lymphomas, using a combinational analytical approach via gene and miRNA expression profiling on paraffin embedded tissue samples. Her group also has expertise in quantitative immunofluorescence using multispectral imaging platform.

A/Prof Ng also serves as a Principal Associate at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore at NUS.
