Adjunct Associate Professor Francis Ho is a Senior Consultant in the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), where he heads the Department of Radiation Oncology which provides radiotherapy services to the NUHS and NHG cluster; and serves as the Lead for the Geriatric Oncology Service in NCIS. He completed his medical training with the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2002 and was then appointed as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, as well as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS) in 2012.
A/Prof Ho's practice interests include hepatobiliary cancer, ophthalmic cancer, head and neck cancer and in particular nasopharyngeal cancer and geriatric oncology. He is also currently the radiation oncology lead for the NUH Hepatobiliary Tumour Group and the Upper Gastrointestinal Tumour Group.
Back in 2017, he also started the geriatric oncology service in NUH and spearheaded the geriatric oncology end to end longitudinal (GOLDEN) program to tailor oncology care for our elderly cancer patients.
A/Prof Ho is also concurrently holding various appointments both within the institution and nationally. At NUH, he is also serving as the faculty of the Enabling Quality Improvement in Clinic Practice program and co leads the transformation office at NCIS. Nationally, he serves as the Vice President of the Singapore Radiology Society and secretary of the radiation oncology chapter of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
A/Prof Ho has published multiple scientific papers in respected peer-reviewed medical journals and has contributed chapters on management of nasopharyngeal cancer in oncology textbooks. He is also a member of the local Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB).
As a Residency Advisory Committee member(for specialist training) and a clinician educator, he is active in teaching radiotherapy students at the Singapore Institute of Technology, medical students at both National University of Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and also radiation oncology residents.
