A/Prof Thomas Putti graduated from the Osmania University, Hyderabad, India in 1985 with M.B,B.S. His initial training in Histopathology was at the Department of Pathology, Osmania Medical College and he obtained his specialist degree in pathology from the Osmania University, India in 1989. Subsequently, he did his anatomic pathology residency from Long Island Jewish Medical Centre, New York and obtained his American Board Certification in 1997. He did a year of fellowship in Immunopathology from Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, New York from 1997 - 1998. He had a six-month stint as clinical fellow (breast pathology) at Nottingham City Hospital, UK under the guidance of Prof. Ian Ellis. He has been with department of pathology, NUH for the last 15 years (joined in 1998).
