Biosketch

Dr Jeyasekharan obtained his undergraduate medical degree from Christian Medical College Vellore, India in 2003. He then received a Gates Cambridge Scholarship towards a PhD in Oncology (2008) at the University of Cambridge UK (Gonville and Caius College). Following a junior research fellowship in Cambridge (Wolfson), he joined the National University Hospital Singapore in 2010 to complete his training in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
 
Dr Jeyasekharan has a special interest in the treatment of lymphomas/sarcomas, as well as personalized therapy for rare and advanced cancers. He holds a joint appointment at the Cancer Science Institute, where he runs a translational cancer research laboratory. His laboratory focuses on understanding how the tumour microenvironment impacts the efficacy of chemotherapy. Dr Jeyasekharan holds multiple internal and nationally funded grants to support his research, and is a platform lead for a national translational research program in cancer through the Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium (STCC).
