Dr Winnie Teo is a consultant in the Department of Haematology – Oncology at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore and she is the current Head of Department (HOD) of Haematology in Alexandra Hospital. Dr Teo received her undergraduate medical degree from National University of Ireland in 2010 and completed her senior residency program in Haematology in National University Hospital, Singapore, during which she was also the Chief Resident for Haematology. She received her post graduate qualifications from Royal College of Physician, Ireland, as well as Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologist, United Kingdom.
Her clinical and research interests are in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), benign haematology, haemostasis and thrombosis. Dr Teo is actively involved in investigator initiated and pharmaceutical sponsored trials, and where she serves as the Myeloproliferative Neoplasm Group Lead in NCIS. She also served as a Secretary in Singapore Society of Haematology previously. Dr Teo is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Department of Medicine in NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
