Dr Donovan Eu is a Consultant with the National University Hospital Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, and National Cancer Institute, Singapore. He is an ENT surgeon by training with a specialty practice in head and neck cancers.
Dr Eu graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2010. He attained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons, MRCS (Glasgow) and subsequently commenced subspecialty training in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery with the National University Hospital Residency Program. He was conferred his Masters of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology in 2014 and following completion of his residency program was accepted to the specialist registration in 2017.
He subsequently completed his advanced surgical training in head and neck surgical oncology at the renowned Wharton head and neck center at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center in Toronto from 2019-2021. During this period, he also took on a research fellowship position at the Guided Therapeutics program at Techna institute – a collaborative institute between the University Health Network and the University of Toronto.
Dr Eu also actively participates in research and has an interest in pursual of surgical navigation for head and neck surgeries. He has taken part in several studies that include the use of augmented reality, image guided based navigations and fluorescence image guidance for intraoperative navigation. He presented his works at several international Otolaryngology meetings, such as the World Chinese Otorhinolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Conference and the American Head and Neck Society International Conference of Head and Neck Cancer.
In addition to research, Dr Eu has been actively involved in several of the undergraduate teaching initiatives by the NUS Medicine. He also continues to provide post-graduate teaching for doctors and residents in ENT and has authored several key otolaryngology textbooks.
